1. Who's this/ that ? 這位(那位)是誰(shuí)?
(1)this和that 都是指示代詞,在此是介紹人物時(shí)常用的專(zhuān)門(mén)用語(yǔ)。當(dāng)說(shuō)話(huà)人詢(xún)問(wèn)眼前的人是誰(shuí)時(shí)用“Who's this? ”意為“這位是誰(shuí)?”,指較遠(yuǎn)處的人時(shí)用“Who's that? ” “那位是誰(shuí)?”。一般不使用“Who's he/she? ”
(2)who 是疑問(wèn)代詞,意為“誰(shuí)”,用來(lái)對(duì)某人提問(wèn)。who's是who is的縮寫(xiě)形式。
(3)由 who引導(dǎo)的問(wèn)句是特殊疑問(wèn)句,回答語(yǔ)用 This/ That is…例如:
Who's this? 這位是誰(shuí)啊?
This is Li Ming. He's my friend. 這是李明。他是我的朋友。
如果提到不在身邊的人時(shí),可以用“it”來(lái)代替he或she,例如:
Who's that? Is that Wang Ping?那位是誰(shuí)?那是王平嗎?
No, it isn't. It's Wang Lin. 不,不是,那是王林。
2. Its name is Polly. 它的名字叫波利。
(1) its是人稱(chēng)代詞it的物主代詞形式,意為“它的”,具有形容詞性質(zhì),后面接名詞,作名詞的定語(yǔ)。
(2)在前面學(xué)過(guò)的“it's”是it is的縮寫(xiě)形式。意為“它是……”在使用時(shí)要注意兩者的區(qū)別。例如:
①This is a cat. Its name is Mi Mi. 這是一只貓。它的名字叫咪咪。
②That is a bike. It's an old bike. 那是一輛自行車(chē)。它是一輛舊車(chē)。
(3)本單元的人稱(chēng)代詞和物主代詞還有:
I--my 我,我的 you--your 你,你的
he--his 他,他的 she--her 她,她的
3. I don't know. 我不知道。
(1)don't是do not的縮寫(xiě)形式。 do在這兒是助動(dòng)詞,本身無(wú)詞意,只是和 not一起構(gòu)成否定形式,用來(lái)否定一個(gè)實(shí)義動(dòng)詞。例句中know為實(shí)義動(dòng)詞,意為“知道”,例如:
①I(mǎi) don't know his name. 我不知道他的名字。
②They don't speak Japanese. 他們不講日語(yǔ)。
(2)do作為助動(dòng)詞用時(shí),還可以放在主語(yǔ)的前面,用來(lái)對(duì)實(shí)義動(dòng)詞提出疑問(wèn)。回答時(shí)有肯定與否定兩種方式。例如:
Do you know the woman? 你認(rèn)識(shí)那位婦女嗎?
Yes, I do. She's my English teacher. 對(duì),我認(rèn)識(shí)。她是我的英語(yǔ)老師。
No, I don't. 不,我不認(rèn)識(shí)。
(3)行為動(dòng)詞和系動(dòng)同be(am,is,are)的否定形式是不相同的。行為動(dòng)詞的否定式是在動(dòng)詞前加don't。當(dāng)主語(yǔ)是第三人稱(chēng)單數(shù)時(shí)則用doesn't。例如:
①I(mǎi) don't have a computer. 我沒(méi)有電腦。
②Li Ping doesn't know Japanese. 李平不懂(認(rèn)識(shí))日語(yǔ)。
系動(dòng)詞 be的否定式是直接在 am,is,are的后面加“not”。is和 not可縮寫(xiě)成“isn't”。are和 not可縮寫(xiě)成“aren't”。但am和not不能縮寫(xiě),am一般都和主語(yǔ)I縮寫(xiě)成“I'm”。例如:
①I(mǎi)'m not a teacher. 我不是教師。
②He isn't at home. He's at school. 他不在家。他在學(xué)校。
③Tom and Jim aren't Chinese boys. 湯姆和吉姆不是中國(guó)男孩子。
4. I think she's twelve. 我想她 12歲了。
think是一個(gè)行為動(dòng)詞,意為“認(rèn)為”,“想”等。 I think在英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)中是一種比較委婉的說(shuō)法,常用于表達(dá)自己的觀(guān)點(diǎn)、判斷與推測(cè)等。I think后面常跟一個(gè)完整的句子作賓語(yǔ),在語(yǔ)法上稱(chēng)為“賓語(yǔ)從句”。例如:
①I(mǎi) think he's Mr Zhang. 我想他(可能)是張老師。
②I think he's very old. 我認(rèn)為他年紀(jì)很大了。
5. Is everyone here today? 今天大家都到齊了嗎?
這是一句用來(lái)詢(xún)問(wèn)班級(jí)出勤情況的用語(yǔ)。everyone是不定代詞,意為“每個(gè)人”,“人人”,在句中作主語(yǔ),表示單數(shù),所以句中動(dòng)詞要用“is”。這一問(wèn)句的回答有兩種方式,肯定用“Yes, we are. ”否定用“No, … isn't here. ”例如:
Is everyone here today? Yes, we are. 今天大家都到齊了嗎?是的,我們(都)到了。
No, Liu Fang is not here. 不,劉芳不在這兒(沒(méi)到)。
No, Li Lei and Jim are not here. 不,李雷和吉姆不在。
6. Where is she? 她在哪兒?
where是特殊疑問(wèn)詞,意為“哪里”,where引導(dǎo)的是特殊疑問(wèn)句,表示對(duì)地點(diǎn)提問(wèn)。
我們學(xué)習(xí)的特殊疑問(wèn)詞有以下幾種:
(1)what“什么”,對(duì)物品、人名等提問(wèn)。例如:
①What's this in English? 這個(gè)是什么?/這東西用英語(yǔ)怎么說(shuō)?
It's an orange. 它是一個(gè)橘子。
②-What's his name? 他的名字叫什么?
-His name is Bill. 他叫比爾。
(2)who“誰(shuí)”,對(duì)人的身份提問(wèn)。例如:
-Who's that?那位是誰(shuí)啊?
-That's Li Li. 那是李麗。
(3)how old“多大年紀(jì)”,對(duì)年齡提問(wèn)。例如:
How old is the boy? 那個(gè)男孩多大了(幾歲啦)?
I think he's twelve. 我想他 12歲了。
(4)how“如何”,“怎么樣”,對(duì)人表示問(wèn)候。例如:
-How are you, Li Lei? 你好嗎,李雷?
-Fine, thank you. 我很好,謝謝。
7. -Is Bill in? 比爾在家嗎?
-Sorry, he's not at home. 對(duì)不起,他不在(家)。
be in和 at home都表示“在家”。in在這兒是副詞,用來(lái)修飾前面的動(dòng)詞。at是介詞,home在這兒是名詞,和at一起構(gòu)成介詞短語(yǔ)。比較如下:
Bill isn't in. =Bill isn't at home.
類(lèi)似的短語(yǔ)還有 at school,意為“在上學(xué)”,“在校”(強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)生和school的關(guān)系)。
8. Is your friend a boy or a girl? 你的朋友是男孩兒還是女孩兒?
這是一個(gè)選擇疑問(wèn)句。要求回答時(shí)用完整的句子,不能使用Yes或No。“or”是一個(gè)選擇連詞,意為“或者”,“還是”。選擇疑問(wèn)句的基本句型是:一般疑問(wèn)句+or +一般疑問(wèn)句。在后面的一般疑問(wèn)句中常常省去與前面的一般疑問(wèn)句相同的部分,用or連接并列成份。朗讀時(shí)or前面的句子用升調(diào),or后面的句子用降調(diào)。例如:
①I(mǎi)s this a jeep or a car? 這是一輛吉普車(chē)還是小汽車(chē)?
It's a car. 是輛小汽車(chē)。
②Is that a bird or a cat? 那是只鳥(niǎo)還是只貓?
It's a cat. 是一只貓。
9. Yes, that's right! 是的,對(duì)了。
No, that's wrong! 不,錯(cuò)了。
right和wrong都是形容詞,right意為“對(duì)的、正確的”,wrong意為“錯(cuò)誤的”。當(dāng)說(shuō)話(huà)人對(duì)某一判斷、觀(guān)點(diǎn)或回答作出評(píng)判時(shí),認(rèn)為對(duì)方是正確的說(shuō)That's right. 或You're right. 認(rèn)為對(duì)方是錯(cuò)誤的則說(shuō)That's wrong. 或You're wrong. 也可以簡(jiǎn)單地說(shuō)Right. 或Wrong. 例如:
①I(mǎi) think you are thirteen. 我想你 13歲了。
You are right. / That's right. 對(duì)了。
②I think Jim is in Row 6. 我想吉姆在第 6排。
No, that's wrong. He's in Row 5. 不,錯(cuò)了,他在第 5排。
四. 詞和短語(yǔ)
(1)in English用英語(yǔ)(說(shuō)或?qū)懀?/p>
(2)a Chinese car 一輛中國(guó)汽車(chē)
(3)an English car 一輛英國(guó)汽車(chē)(注意:English 一詞的第一個(gè)音是元音[i],因此要用不定冠詞an,而不能用a。)
(4)how old多大年紀(jì);幾歲
(5) Chinese, English, Japanese. 這三個(gè)詞均可做名詞,也可做形容詞,但意思不同,有一詞多性,多義的變化。如:English adj. 英國(guó)的;英國(guó)人的,英語(yǔ)的。 n.英語(yǔ)
以上詞屬專(zhuān)有名詞,無(wú)論放在句首還是句中,第一個(gè)字母要大寫(xiě)。
如:①Jim is English.(形容詞)吉姆是英國(guó)人。
②Jim is an English boy.(形容詞)吉姆是個(gè)英國(guó)男孩。
③What's this in English? (名詞)這用英語(yǔ)怎么說(shuō)?
④I'm Chinese.(形容詞)我是中國(guó)人。
⑤I'm a Chinese.(名詞)我是一個(gè)中國(guó)人。
注:Chinese當(dāng)成名詞時(shí),單復(fù)數(shù)同形。
如:I'm a Chinese.
We're Chinese.
五. 語(yǔ)音知識(shí)
元音字母“i”在重讀開(kāi)音節(jié)中讀[ai],在重讀閉音節(jié)中讀[i]

六. 語(yǔ)法
a與an的用法:
a與an是不定冠詞,表示一個(gè)不具體指示的事物或人。它們可根據(jù)所指的事物譯成“一個(gè)(支、本、張、把)……”。a用于以輔音開(kāi)頭的單數(shù)名詞前面,an用于以元音開(kāi)頭的單數(shù)名詞前面。例如:
a map 一張地圖
a book 一本書(shū)
a pear 一個(gè)梨
a cake 一塊蛋糕
a ruler 一把尺子
a pen 一支鋼筆
an egg 一個(gè)蛋
an apple 一個(gè)蘋(píng)果
an orange 一個(gè)桔子
如果單數(shù)名詞之前還有形容詞修飾時(shí),在使用a或an時(shí)就以該形容詞的開(kāi)頭字母的讀音來(lái)決定。例如:
a Chinese car 一輛中國(guó)小汽車(chē)
an English car 一輛英國(guó)小汽車(chē)
【典型例題】

回答一般疑問(wèn)句,要用Yes或No. 它們后面的簡(jiǎn)略回答要與前面的Yes或No 句型相符。不能說(shuō):No, it is, 也不能說(shuō) Yes, it isn't. 選項(xiàng) A. B是錯(cuò)的。 it is的縮寫(xiě) it's, 不可以用在簡(jiǎn)略的回答中。因此正確答案是D.

回答特殊疑問(wèn)句不能用Yes, No, 選項(xiàng)C、D被排除了。
clock是名詞,使用名詞表示一個(gè)或一類(lèi)時(shí),要在前面加上a或an.
clock的發(fā)音是以[k]輔音開(kāi)頭的單詞,因此要用a clock. 正確答案是B.
